How can Solution Focused Hypnotherapy Support You?

It is still widely believed hypnotherapy is a process where the client explains their issues to the therapist and the therapist merely hypnotises their problems away.

Solution focused hypnotherapy is a collaborative process combining the psychotherapeutic tools of solution focused techniques with the power of hypnosis. This helps you to take back control of your mind by breaking negative, and often life hindering, cycles of negative thinking and behaviour, supporting you to bring about positive change in a relatively short time.

In solution focused hypnotherapy we focus on the solutions rather than dwelling on the problems. I will support you to focus on the future, of how you want to live and enhance your quality of life. Why do I do this? To help you recognise your unique skills, strengths, and capabilities to bring about positive change, but those important changes that will work personally for you. I’ll then guide you into hypnosis. Hypnosis is a deep state of relaxation shifting your attention from what is going on around you consciously to focusing your attention on your inner self, where the power lies. Your deepened state of relaxation allows you to concentrate, problem-solve, and embed new ways of thinking and behaviour, supporting you to create and maintain new healthier habits. Focusing on the solutions rather than the problems means solution focused hypnotherapy can help us all with a range of issues to take back control of our minds and live in harmony.
